Learning From History To Take Advantage of Short-Term Trading Opportunities
Over the long-term, stocks naturally gravitate to appropriate price levels based on earnings growth, future earnings expectations, earnings history, Fed policy and interest rates, etc. But in the
short-term, there is tons of market inefficiency. You might recall several weeks ago when it looked like Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) was breaking down below 50, but it recovered in the afternoon to do the improbable and hold price support. That was the market makers' final attempt to accumulate inventory - probably for institutional clients. Then off to the races it went! Just a few days ago, Anaplan (PLAN), a software company ($DJUSSW) saw a similar reversal at price
support as a bullish engulfing candle printed just after it appeared:
One day after closing beneath price and gap support, it opened lower and then surged higher, forming that bullish engulfing candle. The stock has now recovered more than 10% this week off that
crucial reversal. The primary purpose of our Strong Earnings ChartList (SECL) for our EarningsBeats.com members is to provide them with fundamentally and technically sound companies that are annotated with key price support levels so that they can look for these types of short-term trading opportunities.
We have added so many products and services over the past year to help our members. On Saturday, August 15th at 2pm ET, I'm planning to cover all of these services in a webinar and show everyone how
to best utilize our research and product platform. We'll send out details tomorrow, but please mark your calendar. I'd love to show you everything inside the EarningsBeats.com engine!
Happy trading!
