I'm not a big value-type investor, so today I'll focus on a relative leader in energy. Helix Energy Solutions Group (HLX) reported strong results on October 21st, easily surpassing revenue ($212.6 mil vs $207.2 mil) and EPS ($.21 vs $.18) estimates. Energy has begun to see more and more companies reporting better-than-expected results, but the group needs a break in terms
of crude oil prices ($WTIC) and a little bit of currency relief. The U.S. Dollar Index ($USD) has been trending higher for 8 years. From the chart below, it's fairly obvious to me that HLX is a leader in a beaten-down sector:
