This Railroad's Earnings are on Track

Kansas City Southern (KSU) reported its earnings on Friday and I felt this was one of the bigger earnings reports to watch early in earnings season. There was really two reasons for this. First, KSU is part of the transportation area and history tells us that if transports get rolling, so too will the S&P 500. Second, KSU has been one of the leading railroads
heading into earnings season, so Wall Street was banking on a solid report. Based on the following chart, I'd say that KSU certainly "delivered the goods":
