The Chips Are A Flyin'

Semiconductor stocks ($DJUSSC) are performing very well on both an absolute basis and a relative basis. Money is certainly rotating into the space and that is benefiting many names within the group. Of the 48 NASDAQ stocks that set fresh 52 week highs on Tuesday, 9 came from the semiconductor group. That's a lot of strength and it's very good for the stock market to see such leadership from an aggressive group like the semis. One stock in the space that set a new 52 week high was Texas Instruments (TXN), although this stock has backed off its recent relative high:

This morning, ASML Holdings (ASML) posted better than expected revenues and EPS, and over the next 2-3 weeks, dozens of semiconductor companies will be reporting quarterly results. Here's a list of key upcoming semiconductor earnings reports to watch for:

Teradyne (TER): October 22

Texas Instruments (TXN): October 23

Xilinx (XLNX): October 24

Lam Research (LRCX): October 24

Intel (INTC): October 25

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD): October 30

KLA Corp (KLAC): October 31

Applied Materials (AMAT): November 13

NVIDIA (NVDA): November 15
